Today I was observing the “back to school” adjustment. My wife is a teacher. For me, it's more like the adjustment to the end of the Summer season, of working remotely and alone, and the "back to work" atmosphere. Funny, as I was noticing the dread of my resistance to being busier at work I also noticed how I appreciate my work, how I appreciate plenty of work, and how I appreciate being a contributor.
These thoughts came to me while reading “Of Course in Miracles” by Alan Cohen. I was studying one of his Miraculous Insights and the question “How do I cause myself pain by focusing on things I don’t like” arose. This question and my response helped broaden my awareness and gave me a new perspective! Just by being honest with myself. A miracle or a change in perception if you will ;-). What a wonderful habit journaling is!
Blessings,
Jim
